A 2-year project in collaboration with paramedics at Lakeridge Health Hospital and Ontario Tech University. The goal of the project is to create an effective teaching tool for the training of Pneumothorax decompression procedures. The project includes development, manufacturing, and methodic evaluation of the model.

MITACS Research Award - 6,000$

Innovative research in medical simulation on the development of portable, customizable simulators for clinical procedures in nursing, surgical, and emergency care applications. This award resulted in the invention and development of maxSIMbox: NRP - a training tool used by Lakeridge Health Hospital Pediatric Department.
